I custom-make closed-corner/seamless Picture-Frames - a refreshingly sound alternative to that offered by conventional frame shops. My frames are exclusive yet affordable - each one individually hand-made and customised and in my opinion, of heirloom-quality. Comparing frames by Pieter Swanepoel Studio to the factory-made and -finished frames offered by conventional framers, is like comparing an original oil-painting with a paper copy of the same painting.

My frames are finished in traditional materials including gold and silver leafing, paint, colour washes, fabric and natural wood.

I also undertake replication and conservation (sometimes referred to as ‘restoration’) of antique picture-frames (except for the machine-produced ones) and re-glazing or re-mounting of your art.

My services are aimed at discerning artists, art collectors, art dealers and gallery owners - please just bear in mind that I do not offer plastic, aluminium or any of the pre-finished frames, provided by most conventional framers. All my frames are customised to enhance your art. That places my frames in a category different to that of conventional framers.
